Theory of a Deadman is the self-titled debut by the band Theory of a Deadman released in 2002. The album contained the hit single "Make Up Your Mind". It also featured the singles "Nothing Could Come Between Us", "Point to Prove" and "The Last Song," (which was originally called "Theory of a Deadman"), both of which were solely written by Tyler Connolly, the band's lead singer. The album bears a Parental Advisory label due to expletives in "Invisible Man", "Any Other Way", and "Confession".

Theory of a Deadman is a rock band formed in Delta, British Columbia, in 2001. The band name comes from their song The Last Song (Originally titled Theory of a Deadman ) which. In 2008, they released their third album Scars & Souvenirs, which features vocals from Chris Daughtry and Robin Diaz. The album was certified platinum in 2011. The album’s singles Bad Girlfriend, All or Nothing, and Not Meant to Be all made their way onto the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Theory of a Deadman (or Theory for short) is a rock band from North Delta, British Columbia, Canada, formed in 2001, signed by Nickelback vocalist Chad Kroeger to 604 Records, after lead singer Tyler Connolly gave Kroeger a demo tape. The band also includes traits of other music styles, such as country, metal and more acoustic elements. Theory has released six studio albums and three hits on the Mainstream Rock Chart.

Vancouver, Canada's Theory of a Deadman became the first act to sign with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger's 604 Records imprint in 2001. One of these, "Invisible Man," was used as the B-side for 2002's wildly successful Spider-Man theme "Hero" (a Kroeger collaboration with Saliva singer Josey Scott), and anticipated Theory of a Deadman's self-titled debut the same year. Theory of a Deadman returned to the studio in 2007 to record their third album, Scars and Souvenirs, which was produced by Howard Benson. The album was released in April 2008, and was certified gold in less than a year.

Chad Kroeger, signed Theory of a Deadman to his label, co-produced this album and co-wrote six of the ten songs. So it's not a huge surprise that Theory of a Deadman sounds a lot like Kroeger's band Nickelback.
